YOUR TEAM AT PRESCOTT TAX & PARALEGAL

Arlene Rheinfelder, EA, CP, CLDP
“I help solve people’s problems. There is nothing more rewarding than helping someone through a difficult situation, and helping them to find a good resolution.”

Arlene’s smile and compassion will be the traits you notice first. It won’t be long, however, before her book smarts and street smarts are equally obvious. Arlene began her professional career as a middle school math teacher, after graduating with a B.A. in Education from Arizona State University in 1991. While teaching was rewarding, Arlene always had a love of the law. So, in 2008, she completed an American Bar Association approved Paralegal Studies program. She worked as a paralegal for attorneys practicing in estate planning, civil litigation, family law, and tax matters. Within a year, Arlene became a Certified Paralegal. She passed the Certified Legal Document Preparer examination and obtained her certificate from the Arizona Supreme Court in 2010. Without letting grass grow under her feet, in 2011, she took her pencil and calculator to the Enrolled Agent examination administered by the IRS and passed.

Arlene’s educator background compels her to keep current on all new IRS developments and attend continuing legal education courses. Her role as a Certified Legal Document Preparer and Enrolled Agent gives her advanced insight into the interplay between estate planning and taxes. She ensures that her clients get the maximum refund legally. She can also represent clients who are having troubles with the Internal Revenue Service.

Arlene is the mother of three young men, and a grandmother. She volunteered for over 20 years with the Boy Scouts of America, is an outdoor enthusiast, and animal lover. Don’t let her pleasant disposition fool you, Arlene won her most recent quick draw challenge and wields a mean saw. There isn’t much she can’t fix although she does not offer her handywoman skills as part of her services.

Melissa Hill, AZCLDP
“I love the challenge of finding a way to help each person’s unique situation. It is never the same because each person is different with their own needs and wants.”

A transplant from California, Melissa began her professional career in property management and real estate. While completing her Paralegal Studies, Melissa interned with Prescott Tax & Paralegal.  Since 2014, Melissa has prepared estate plans, and coached family law clients on representing themselves. Melissa was granted Certified Legal Document Preparer status by the Arizona Supreme Court in 2016.

As a Certified Legal Document Preparer, Melissa helps clients navigate the treacherous waters of family court. She also ensures that clients’ wishes for their estate plans are met in the simplest, most effective manner.

Melissa is mom to Sabin, the cutest miniature dachshund West of the Mississippi. She is also a loving aunt to her beautiful niece Cassidy and two handsome nephews, Kyle and Tyler.
